Tomamu Ski Resort is a luxurious 1000 hectare family ski resort located in Hokkaido, approximately 1 hour (by train) from Sapporo (New Chitose) Airport. Official ski area is 145 hectares with 1 gondola, 7 lifts in total (2 quads, 4 pairs and 1 single) and vertical drop of 699m. Average temperature during the ski season is -7 degrees with 8m average annual snowfall, making the powder light and dry. Tomamu offers many snow activities for both adults and kids such as snow shoe walking, snow mobiling, sled park, banana boat, snow rafting and sledge cabin rides as well as many ski based activities such as back country tours, heli/CAT skiing, and cross country skiing. Another great news is off piste skiing is allowed in Tomamu.
Tomamu Resort features 4 types of well appointed rooms, all Western style, accommodating up to families of 4. For families of more than 4, we can arrange adjoining rooms . The resort offers many facilities to keep the kids and adults entertained outside the slopes such as childcare, kids club, 80m long indoor wave pool (one of Japan’s biggest) with kids pool, jacuzzi, and cafe, open air bath and sauna, spa treatments and thai massage. Tomamu also has an Ice Village, made entirely of snow and ice, are collection of domes and entertainment areas such as ice skating rink, ice bar and ice restaurant.
