Terms and Conditions​

EXPERIENCE JAPAN TERMS AND CONDITIONS (ABN 67 495 013 347)

This agreement is governed by the relevant state laws in force. You irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the relevant state and Courts of Appeal from them and/or any relevant tribunals for determining any dispute concerning this agreement. We may legally assign any of our rights and obligations under this agreement at any time by giving you notice.

Experience Japan may receive financial and/or non financial incentives from travel industry suppliers and/or other third parties in relation to your travel arrangements.

FARES AND PRICES:
Prices quoted when booking and quoting are in Australian dollars, subject to availability and change depending on currency exchange rate. The general booking constitutes a request only and we do not guarantee fares or prices until the booking has been confirmed by EXPERIENCE JAPAN and paid for. Airline/hotel/car availability, fare conditions and class of travel can change at any time. Routing restrictions and other special conditions may apply. Taxes, airport charges and any additional costs will be advised to you when your booking is confirmed. Airlines and other suppliers may change their prices without notice.

DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT:
A non-refundable deposit of A$330.00 per person is payable within 7 days of confirmation. Reservations made will be automatically cancelled if payment for deposit is not received by the required date. All deposits are non-refundable. The balance is due no later than 45 days prior to departure. If for any reason the deposit or the final balance is not received by us on the due date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and apply the appropriate cancellation charges. The deposit will be forfeited.

AMENDMENT AND RE-BOOKING FEE:
After deposit has been received, amendment or rebooking fees of A$55.00 per file per amendment shall apply. In addition airlines, hotels and ground operators may charge additional fee.

CANCELLATION:
Should you or a member of your party cancel your booking or any part of your booking, you must advise your booking agent in writing. Cancellation charge of non refundable deposit plus any fees incurred by airlines, hotels and ground operators may apply. This fee can be 100% of the fare and include cancellation due to pandemic or a force majeure event.

LATE BOOKINGS:
A late booking fee of $55.00 per file may apply to package bookings requested within 7 days of departure.

REFUNDS:
Refund, irrespective of when the cancellation has been made, cannot be provided to you until relevant supplier has released the funds to us. This may take several months.

LIABILITY:
In no event shall we be liable for any injury, loss, claim, damage or any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits or savings, arising out of or in any way connected with EXPERIENCE JAPAN.

NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PRICE:
The price does not include any incidental charges such as laundry, taxis, telephone calls, excess baggage charges, insurance, porterage, drinks, meals, and any additional items that are not stated in invoice.

CLIENT’S RESPONSIBILITY:
By registering for the service, you warrant to us that you are at least eighteen years old and have the power and authority to enter into a binding contract with us and with the carriers of product and services that you acquire. EXPERIENCE JAPAN has no responsibility for any loss or damage arising from the incorrect information of a traveler’s name or as a result of the supplier’s policies. The information you provide us about yourself is true, accurate, current as required. You must read the travel-specific terms and conditions at the end of these terms and conditions and convey all information set out in those terms and conditions to any other parties covered by any booking you make. Unless you are an ATAS accredited travel agent, you must not resell the service or any products or services accessed by means of the service, or permit any other person, other than adult members of your household or others with your express permission and under your personal supervision, to use your user identification to access the service. You are responsible for all use of the service, and all transactions entered into by means of the service, using this user identification. You must not use the service for any activities which breach any laws, infringe any party’s rights, or breach any standards, content requirements or codes promulgated by any relevant authority. You must not use the service in any way which interferes with other users or defames, harasses or menaces anyone. You indemnify us from and against all actions, claims, suits, demands, liabilities, costs or expenses arising out of or in any way connected to use of the service by you or any other person. You must not modify, copy, transmit, display, perform, publish, license or create derivative works from any information or software accessed by means of the Service. Where copying or transmission is expressly permitted, you must not change or delete any author attribution or copyright notice.

PAYMENT BY CREDIT CARD:
EXPERIENCE JAPAN does not accept credit card payments without completed written authorisation from the card holder together with a copy of the front and back of the card used and photo identification of the card holder to make the purchase.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION:
Passport, Visa and Health requirements are the responsibility of all individual travelers. Passports are required for all travelers departing Australia. Permanent residents travelling on a foreign passport must hold an Australian Re-entry Visa. Many countries require that foreign nationals entering hold a passport with at least six months validity. We will assist in providing information based on the information supplied by you upon booking. This information as well as other related information supplied by EXPERIENCE JAPAN are in good faith; however should be treated as a guideline only. The final responsibility for ensuring documentation is correct is that of the individual traveler. The posting/couriering of travel documentation is the responsibility of you. EXPERIENCE JAPAN will not be held responsible for tickets lost by a third party, any charges associated with reissue and resending of documentation will be at your expense.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:
It is recommended that all travelers obtain travel insurance against cancellation or amendment fees as well as providing sufficient medical cover.
