Nozawa Onsen is a traditional hot spring and ski resort village located in the northern part of Nagano.Nozawa Onsen Ski boasts an altitude of 1085 metres and total ski slope area of 297 hectares. Topped with abundance of high-quality powder snow means you can ski from early November right through to early May. Skiing in Nozawa Onsen started in 1930 and also the first place in Japan to install ski lifts and various major skiing and snowboarding tournaments including the Biathalon competition at the Nagano Olympics.There are so varieties of slopes and courses as well as Snow Park to statisfy all levels of skiers and snowboarders.Nozawa Onsen is also well known amongst Japanese locals for its hot spring (onsen) bath. Majority of accommodation have their own hot spring baths as well as thirteen public hot spring bath, all with different minerals that is also available to use for free of charge.

Rooms are traditional Japanese style with toilet and no bath as guests are encouraged to take advantage of the hot spring bath in the building as well as one of the 13 hot spring baths in the Nozawa Onsen area.
