Kyukamura Minami Aso is located in the Aso Kuju National Park, a popular park for hikers consisting of a famous active volcano, Mount Aso. Mount Aso is known to have one of the largest caldera formation in the world and is also in the Takachiho area, another famous area for hikers. It is also a popular area for hot spring baths (onsen) where it it set ot have therapeutic properties for conditions such as poor blood circulation, fatigue and said to be very good for the skin. Dinner is buffet style serving the local Kumamoto cuising with an open kitchen area where you get freshly cooked steaks.
