These group of machiya townhouses located in Kyoto’s traditional district were built approximately 100 years ago and still retain their original structures and unique architectural features. They have been restored and decorated using fine Asian art and antiques with modern comforts such as in-floor heating, wireless internet access, air conditioning and state of the art bathroom fixtures while preserving the old beauty of the house.The whole machiya townhouse is your private space during your stay for 1 to a group of 14. Most of the machiya bedrooms are Japanese-style, with plush futon mattresses spread on tatami flooring.
